8 +**Health**. The overarching objective of first responders' health concerns their long-term physical and mental well-being (so, also considering the effects of operations after the mission). It includes for example  work-related fatigue, physical and mental workload, and stress.  Ensuring recovery time and managing trauma are approaches to reduce long-term health risks.

It includes for example safety protocols, risk avoidance strategies, and the usage of protective equipment and clothing. Avoiding (a) building collapse, (b) exposure to toxic materials  and (c) threats of violence are approaches to reduce safety risks.
